London Fashion Week is fast approaching and will run from the 17th till the 21st of February. One of the most exciting times of the year in the fashion calendar, fashion journalists, buyers, press and bloggers assemble to see the exciting new collections from top brands from Burberry to Alexander McQueen, discover changing trends and scout out brilliant new designer labels.
The London Fashion Week (LFW) is described as the most creative, diverse and one of the most exciting event worldwide. London set the futur trend and all the cat walk are true shows that take your breath away. Last year Top Shop has set new trends with its new collection which was one of the most spectacular. Of course, Burberry, the most british fashion luxury brand is always the most awaited show.
LFW is a great platform for new talent to be discovered, in fact it is the main fashion week that displays such a great number of new talent and offer them the opportunity to show the world their creations. All new talent come from all Europe and most of them choose London for a first show, which makes the LFW its strength. London is very forward thinking in fashion and it’s the place to be to get truly inspired.
Brexit was the big story in the UK this summer, but at last London Fashion Week designers didn’t let that news stop them from showing optimistic collections full of bright gingham checks, novelty prints, distressed denim and more. Gingham has become so widespread recently, it arguably shouldn’t be considered a trend. But the imaginative new ways in which London designers have reworked classic picnic checks for spring earn a shoutout here.
Denim is everywhere these days, but it’s the young London brands (such as Faustine Steinmetz and Marques Almeida) who have pushed the fabric in new directions in recent years. This season, they showed ultra-distressed frayed styles that were pure rock ‘n’ roll.
Expect a crazy and creative season for 2017 session!
